In a last minute attempt to get on the road and dirve away from this deep
freeze, we have discovered that we need tires on our 85 Westy before we go
anywhere.
A wasted day was spent going from store to store looking for the elusive 14"
6-ply tire of any size. We are looking for something cheap but larger than
the 195/70's (205/75 preferably) since we will eventually ditch the 14's and
go up to a 15".Pep Boys carries a 27x8.5xR14 Dakota all-terrain tire that
looks interesting and they are in stock. Does anyone have experience with
these tires or another suggestion for a cheap and readily available brand at
FLAPS?
