Well I don't wanna beat this to death (on the other hand, it's been slooow on the list lately...) but we obviously have two very different experiences. I filled a hole about 1.5 times the size of a pencil in a heater core with JB weld 11 years (of exposure to hot antifreeze) ago and it's fine- nary a drop since. Believe me, I'd know if it was leaking. And then you have your experience. Leads me to think that there's another factor here. Whaddya suppose it is (seriously)? Additive in the anti-freeze, or formulation? Mixture? Drying/curing time? The base it was applied to? I'd do an experiment but I don't have the time and I doubt that my wife would look kindly on my making JB/antifreeze soup in one of her pots on her stove. : )

Cya, Robert
