Is there a sender that fits right in? if yes which one? I use a VDO temperature sender that replaces the oil drain plug. $11.95 from Bus Depot <http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=323888>. That, a few meters of wire, and a VDO gauge <http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=310012> is all you need. I've never been totally at peace with the idea of that exposed sender wire hanging under there, waiting to get caught on something; but I've had no trouble yet. Easier to install than the oil pressure gauge sender, at least. John Bange '90 Vanagon "Geldsauger" |
