Hi, Last year I replaced my front rotors with Italian made rotors and pads were"OEM" Mintex from Bus Depot. Everything was fine until about 6 months ago, when an ear splitting squeal developed out of both brakes when gently braking to a stop. The squeal occurs even at the last inch or so of stopping at the lowest speed-it seems to be associated more with the compound of the pad than a "vibrating-harmonic--not enough anti squeal goo-kind of sound". Nevertheless, I removed the pads, cleaned everything up, re-greased, and reapplied the anti squeal goo, but the squeal persists. Any similar experiences with these pads or rotors or advice? Any recommendations for pads would also be appreciated, but I believe the topic has been covered to death in the archives. Thanks and happy Friday, Adam |
