I bought a 500W inverter at Sam's Club recently for what I thought was a pretty good price (<$30 - item # 148168 .5 amp no load draw) and was wondering what the consensus was for mounting options. From what I've seen so far most folks are using the front or inside of the cabinet behind the drivers seat, but I was hoping to find a less intrusive option. Has anyone had any luck with mounting in the battery box with an optima in there? I know there is no airflow, but I wasn't intending to use it all that much - more for a laptop than anything else. I have also heard tell of a "secret space" under the drivers seat??? Any suggestions anyone?
