I understand the idea behind leak down testing but have questions for someone who's actually used a leak down tester before. I haven't. To get your % leakage number, do you just pressurize the cylinder, cut off the airflow, and measure the pressure after, say, one minute of the air slowly leaking out of the cylinder? Or - Do you apply a constant pressure through a flow restrictor to the cylinder and measure the pressure on the cylinder side of the flow restrictor? If so, how do you decide how large a restriction to use? What am I missing here? Thanks! --tabe johnson xtabe@yahoo.com Leaky Head Westy ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca |
