My Vanagon has a crack in its windshield. I own a parts vanagon with a good windshield. *How big of a home project is this to: -smash in my vanagon's windshield (to save gasket?) - local shop told me that? -prep. the windshield installation area of my vanagon -remove the "good" windshield from my part vanagon -re-install "good windshield" into my newly prepped area of my vanagon using original gasket? Or....do I simply buy new windshield gasket for this installation? If yes to new gasket, recommendation as to supplier. Thanks Larry PS. We have $99 windshield junkyard places and mobile glass service companies nearby as an alternative. Should I do this myself? |
