Subject: UPDATE: High Idle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Update. For those who kindly replied to my dilema, thank you. Unfortunately, My van is still running extremely rich..so rich that i have to pull the hose for the aux air valve off to suffice the overage of fuel. Though the aux air valve is working correctly my deductions leads to the fuel regulator. If there too much pressure will it cause a constant overrich condition? I pulled the vaccuum hose off of it and the idle didn't drop nor was there any fuel coming out of the vaccuum port.I also checked the TPS and it's working correctly also the temp2 sensor is functioning as well. The airbox is new. Anyone ever have a fuel pressure regulator go bad??

Below is my previous submission outlining what is and has been checked:

Hi.. 85 gl here... I replaced my airmeter and sealed the throttlebody at the spider..my idle screw is set st 1/2 turn out from bottom.. ii cant go any higher or it surges..o2 sensor is new.. I can't pass inspection because my curb idle is 1350rpms... the timing is correct.. would a bad fuel regulator cause a high idle/inconsistent??? When its in gear it drops down.. i think its because the curb is so high that the torque converter is bearing down on the tranny to cause the idle drop...Also when its cold/first start if i dont pull the hose from the intake tube it runs EXTREMELY rich.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I think its either the fuel regulator..maybe a worn throttle body?
