folks, this IS NOT MINE.. but i had been looking for one for quite some time.. lister robert larsen was kind enough to fwd it to me, he looked at it/drove it... i just have too many "irons in the fire" at the moment and im going to have to pass on this cool van.. but here is the stats..

first off, alittle sunroof history.. sunroof vanagons are very unique, there werent many of them sold, but they were available from '80-'87 here in the US. the majority of them you will see are 80-85 models. i have owned 4 sunroof vans, all being 83.5-85, including my 84 wolfsburg edition with sunroof (with dealer a/c!) which i still have. in '86, air conditioning became a factory option - not a dealer add-on like it was on the 85 down vans.. 90% of '86 up passenger vanagons sold in the US have a/c. the '86 up factory a/c is the rear evap mount, with full length tunnel to front, so you couldnt have sunroof AND a/c, it was just one or the other - so most people opted for a/c. so '86 and '87 sunroof vanagons are extremely rare..and there were no sunroof vanagons sold in the US after '87.

anyway, here is the stats..

'87 vanagon Syncro GL with huge sliding Sunroof... weekender interior, and locking differential. . van is dark blue - navy blue color, non metallic. the interior is blue velour. has 120k mi, recent head gaskets. the owner's name is Mark.. he is the original owner.. the van is located on lake Tahoe (incline village NV..CA/NV border) his number is: 775-742-1900 he was asking $3000 obo.. all in all it seems like a good deal for a rare model.. hope it goes to a Lister.. :<) go for it..

chris
