Is it physically attached to the LA conurbation? If not, how far away is it? Maybe that's why UPS charges so much to deliver from LA...

Thanks for the correction.

Heck, it's-a only one letter.

I priced the knuckle up today. Apparently RHD & LHD kennuckles are different (is the LHD speedo drive in the right knuckle??... that's the only place I can think they might differ).

Anyway, the design apparently changed during 1985, so early 85s have the early knuckle. There is no listing for a RHD left knuckle and there are no available right knuckles in the Singapore depot, though there is a listing... for a mere $840US. That's gotta be good value. The intermediate steering shaft is $322; the universal joint is another $170.

Obviously I am NOT going to be buying new items in this wonderful country. WHAT A RIPOFF!! So I may be screwed... unless I buy LHD and connect the speedo to the G50 transmission's drive... custom cable needed... and gawd knows how I'd get THAT to read correctly! Mebbe I can drill out the L stubaxle...

Anyway, ANYONE ANYWHERE in the US got these bits available?? -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
