I am quite serious. All European Diesels have different sheet metal in front of the shifter. Once my 1987 Turbo Diesel Syncro Westfalia High Top (say that three times fast!) comes in, I can take a picture for you.

Lets see if the attached picture makes it to the list or not...

Huh? What air flow would that be? Surely you jest. Or maybe they are pulling a gotcha? Certainly the 82 has some unique sheetmetal ahead of the shifter- it has the large duct coming from the DA-6 in the rear, but also heater hose holes. I notice my 82 has the water valve inside the cabin. Aparently, some time later, it got relocated to under the floor. Al Brase
