Larry,

As far as the power steering lines go, you can get them from Frank Condelli:

Hello Group:

Can anyone point me in the correct direction to tackle this job of replacing my 2 PS rack boots on my 1985 Vanagon....send my link to prior article, answer my ?'s below, etc.:

-I had trouble installing said PS boots years ago....never did fit into that grove on rack easily? -I did not know correct way of attaching boot to (1) rack itself (grove) and (2) steering linkage rod. -What material use to clean area with B4 installing boots -What type greese (CV or otherwise) to use "behind" these boots.... -Best clamping system as mentioned above.....hose clamps (one or both ends ) or no clamps? -Best method to get to this area (remove tie rod, install boot, re-install tie rod by counting threads, etc. was my method....)

*I remember seeing a company that was advertising a "complete kit" for replacing older Vanagon PS rusty lines for approx. $100, pre-formed to fit! Can anyone point me to this information as well.

Thank you for your inputs...this group ( as a whole) knows enough to keep even my Vanagon on the road!

Thanks

Larry Georgia
