Zach,

I have dealt with both vendors and would recommend either as a great solution.

However, In my experience, at the top of competence, customer service and giving back to the community is Daryl of AA Transaxle.

In the last couple of months a few friends and I were looking for ways to help a couple of Van owners get their Disabled Vanagons back on

the road via our "Pay it Forward Fund".

www.roadhaus.com/PIF.html

One project involved getting and installing a tranny and the other a tranny and engine

On the first project I went to Daryl to see if he could help in any way. He joyfully said ... "You Bectha" and in the end he was key to our success and zero dollars went into his pocket.

On the second and (current in progress project) I didn't contact Daryl ... Because he had done so much previously.

But he contacted me .... "Hey I could Help Here" he volunteered.

Thanks to Daryl and his friend George at PorBug we are on our way to completing the second project.

A more honorable and involved member of our community you will not find.

Please consider rewarding this behavior by giving him a shot at your business.

Well, I am ready to spend the $$$ and get my trans rebuilt.. I have looked into to both AA Transaxle and German Transaxle, both seem to be competent and well recommended, but there is a definate price difference especially when you factor in shipping...

So, before I take the plunge does anyone have any last minute cautions or recommendations? Either technical or pertaining to which vendor I use?

-Zach
