The way I read your posting, it said that the light/buzzer do not come on until you are OFF the freeway, not at speed ON the freeway. I think the freeway miles and speed just heat up and thin out the oil so there is less measured oil pressure. Then when the RPM go down under 2500, and you are accelerating, the combination of low RPM and low oil pressure set off the $%&@* buzzer. With me it is very predictable if I don't insist on 20-50 oil, even in Winter.

I'd say that if you are using 20-50 oil now, then there is likely a problem. Else put 20-50 in and see how it acts.
