My wife was out diddey-boppin' around in one of our Chevys and had the heat cranked way up- it was one of our colder days and the kids were way in the back. Anyway, it was about as hot as she could make it in there (this was about 6:30 in the evening) and the temp was dropping fast. It got down to about 25f within a few hours. When I got in the van the next morning the formally pristine dash had long looping cracks running all through the surface vinyl. The lack of humidity around here tends to dry out vinyls and plastics pretty bad and guess that combined with the sudden change in temp was enough to bust it up. So it isn't just you guys in the frozen zone. We also had our first substantial snow in about ten years recently- 3 inches, wahoo! The kids had a blast. : ) Of course, these week it's been getting up into the seventies. We've had the swamp cooler on in the afternoon every day this week. Go figger.
