You're going to get a lot of foolish responses from people that have never made the conversion and never added the extra condenser. Almost any Vanagon Front Condenser will easily bolt to the bottom of your van and they're normally very cheap, I never paid more than $5.00 for one here in Texas. You just need to be sure that you have the round tube type condenser and not the rectangle extruded aluminum finned type. If you replace the dryer/receiver, the seals in your compressor and the expansion valve all to 134 compliant you'll be able to hang meat in the van on ten minute rides. So when some body says something, remember to ask: "Have you ever done that?" and that should send you in the right direction. Been there done that as far as the A/C 134 conversion with the extra condenser goes. Hi, Its getting to be that time of year when I will be thinking about converting to 134a from r 12. I'm in so. florida and a/c is important. I looked on the list serve and it seems that to get the a/c nice and cold with 134a is to add another condenser. Is there one made for a 1991 carat? If not where can i find one that will work and where do i install it. thanks Jim
