Ken you are off to a good start. As you know the inner two lobes are for the intake valves just make sure that the #1 inner lobe has just closed it should be about 90 degrees off for the valve to close. So set it at 90 degrees past the top of the lobe on the #1 inner lobe and you should be good.

Or assemble skipping this step. Then after assembly get 2 long pieces of wire coat hanger, the spacers and some grease. Grease the spacers together. Insert one wire into the hole that the foot of the dist. drive sits in and slide the spacers down the wire. It helps to put some grease on the bottom of the spacers to stick to the case. Leave the wire in place and get the other wire to move the spacers around until you are satissfied. Then remove the wires and set the dist. drive.
