You guys are brutal. At least it's Friday. Seriously...the goo was spread on the back of the pads and the edge of the piston that makes contact with the inside pad. I've never had a problem with brakes, even on the notoriously squeaky Volvo 850 we have-perfectly silent. I've heard of people complaining about squeaky Mintex pads on other vehicles (mostly BMW's) but not on our Vanagons-anyone? anyone? Thanks, Adam
