I've drained the coolant (needed replacing anyway) and plan to drop the radiator to replace with a new one. I've loosened the 4 bolts that hold the condenser/rad/fan shroud and notice by appearances that all three will lower. I see the tabs on the bottom where the radiator should separate from the condenser but it doesn't come apart yet. Will it do so after I remove all 4 bolts and begin to lower it? Should I try to keep the condenser in place? Also, the radiator fan should come down too, right? I see 4 add'nl bolts on the side of the radiator to remove the shroud. While down, is there any recommended maintenance / lubrication for the fan? Mine operates correctly (all 3 speeds), but is loud on the lowest speed - kind of like it needs lubrication. Thanks for any advice you can give! Jay '87 Vanagon Westy, "Ol' Blue"
