Subject: Re: Cold start 3 cylinder stalling and bucking idle insanity!!!

Don't give up, he he he.

Choke is not fully close....hi hi hi, sorry, i had to say this one.

Mmmm..... Can you swap the ECU, AFM? with your frind van!

Here what i have seen with faulty Fuel Pressure, BLACK smoke in the back!!!

Can you try/swap other plugs wire..., are the intake boot (the S one) sealed, no air leak...Fuel pressure OK...

Just for the fun of it, unplug and plug the ECU a few time, just to make sure the connection is ok.

Good luck!!! Ben http://www.benplace.com/

------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I changed the temp 2 sensor and cleaned a few more grounds, but no help. I actually got it to idle on its own a little after about 4 starts and revving the gas, but it would surge and go down slowly-if you put any gas on it and then back off, it would stay at about 2000 rpm rather than dropping back to idle.

I checked the resistance on the old temp 2 sensor and the air intake sensor (temp 1- terminals 1 and 4 on the MAF), and the resistance was approximately equal and within range for the conditions 2.5-3.5K @ 69 degrees. Measurements were performed with a crappy analog meter though so they could still be suspect.

Any other ideas? I'm leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator??? Thanks! Adam
