No, I didn't use the "sealer" - never looked that far on the shelf at Wal-Mart, I suppose. What I've noticed, while standing with a bowl of hot water to encourage the R134 to leave the roost, is that there are minute bubbles forming at the joint between the case halves of the compressor.

There are probably other leaks as well, because I've taken it to a reputable shop to "find the leak" and they couldn't. At about $4.50 per can for the R134, it isn't worth the time or money to try to fix it at this point. I'll just keep running like this until the compressor goes. --
