Flashback to early evening on back-roads along the northern shore of Lake Huron... one eye peeled for moose, one eye peeled for gas stations... both making frequent glances at the gas gauge (dropping) and trip odometer (climbing)... Found a gas station with fumes to spare, and didn't hit a single moose! YMMV.
