To fellow listerines,

Before I go to E-Bay with this, I thought I would see if there is any interest in my 87 Synchro. I just purchased this about 2 months ago, and it was reported that it needed an engine, but it runs pretty good, and I drove it pretty constant for three weeks and then my temp registration expired. It did fail California smog. The body and interior are pretty nice, although the passenger door is "dead" . Doesn't open, power locks and windows do not funcion, and it will not open. 4WD works. I tuned it up, (cap, rotor, plugs, O2, fuel and air filter), new battery, new tires (they are cheepies, and are not correct). My intent was to do an inline 4 conversion, since it needed an engine, so the "kit" is part of the sale, and it is a real complete kit scavenged from an 82 diesel, right down to the hoses. It is not a Westy. It does have every option you can get, and is real plush inside. I am in the Central Sierra's of California, just outside Yosemite, but this van came from Minnesota. I have paid all the DMV, but has failed smog, so the registration is stalled. I can send pictures, and am looking to get $3500. I'll give it a week, and then off to E-Bay.
