Larry I had contacted them last year, They were the first people I called since they already mad a vanagon top. At the time they weren't interested due to low interest in the existing mold they had. They may however be interested if you and others do a small run. When I contacted them I was looking for a home for the molds with out any high tops being produced.

I'm at least mildly interested in purchasing a top and have a suggestion. Contacting Fiberine about taking the AW molds would seem like a logical solution. They presumably have all of the materials and knowledge to take over the project. They have their own mold that doesn't seem to have sold very well and has some issues so a proven solution with a better history should make some sense to them. And they have an established distribution system to help keep the cost of shipping the finished product down. Also, I like your idea of modifying the mold to take out the window openings. This would simplify production and improve versatility.
