My 83 did too. I've noticed they're not listed in bus depot and other list vendor catalogs for the diesel years (wasn't that a TV show?). I've looked in to this too and about the best you can do is install some snap fasteners yourself. Shouldn't be too hard, I'm planning on doing it if I ever get the time and I find a material that will crush down to a tennis-ball size... that's about all the space I have left : )
