My last update to this thread. The seals have been completely replaced.
It was not necessary, as Ron said, to remove the luggage rack to install
the seal. But I did it anyway to clean underneath. Here's a shot where
all three seals come together:

Its a very nice improvement. Now if I could only get the damn PS lines
