They make de-ionizing filters and other geegaws for car washes, pressure washers- car dealerships use them for their fleets. Special attachments needed for softening (substituting salts) water. Here the water is very mineral heavy (hard) my african cichlids loved it when I was raising fish. Had a heavy charcoal filter on the tank to take out some impurities but not the minerals. African cichlids love the liquid rock.
