Hello all,I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination,but I do own both an early and a late 85 vanagon.The early has the sheet metal arm ,and the late van has the cast iorn arm.I drive each,and can comment like I have.There is a BIG difference between these 2 1985 vans.I only wish the reverse was true, as I spent bookoo bucks on press work redooing the early 85.
