I've got one of those "bull-bumpers" with a 2" receiver in it, front included. I've used a Thule hitch-type bike rack on the front once and noticed no difference in feel, handling, nothing at all. When it becomes necessary to use that rack, I have so much "stuff" in/on the rest of the van that 2 or 3 25/30 lb. bikes just don't make any difference. The sure get "bugged" though if it's "that" time of year. ;^) -- Bob Stevens http://groups.msn.com/BobsPhotoShare/87westysyncro.msnw -------------- Original message -------------- > Does anyone have their bike rack mounted on the front...I need to carry one bike > at all times and sometimes two...the idea of being able to access the rear hatch > is appealing...my concern is the weight and balance issue...my Westy is coming > in at 5260...that's with 2 adults and 2 65 lb dogs...and...food for a week and > lots of water....I |
