Dan,

I would pull the cover off of the instrument cluster, reach around the back and remove/replace the main wire connector located on the bottom right hand side of the cluster (lower back of the tachometer housing). I would guess that either the installer removed the cluster when doing the install and didn't fully reseat the connector, or the connector has corrosion on it and needs to be cleaned.

In my Syncro, the clock has never worked and the instrument lights work only after moving the plug around some. Also, the tachometer varies it's readings, sometimes reading as much as 1K low! I looked at the connectors in the Syncro, and ended up getting a complete cluster from a 1991 to replace it with, as once the foil gets really corroded you can only clean it so much... Plugged in the 1991 cluster and it all works, just like magic!

If it turns out your clock is bad, I have several 12 hour clocks here that are known good. I will gladly trade one of them for your 24 hour clock. I'll even pay postage both ways, just to show what a good sport I am... ;-)
