Thanks to all of you who responded. Michael, David, Jim, Dennis, and many others. I guess it was the combination of a few posts that helped me fix the problem. David's advice helped me to see that the two long pipes where hooked up backwards. Dennis' post helped me see that I needed to do a better job of bleeding at the engine. I tried a trick that another poster used which was to elevate the coolant reservoir to allow any extra air to burp out in the back. All of these things together worked and now the van is running cool. Thanks so much for your help and advice! I can always count on you folks for help.
