I've got one of those "bull-bumpers" with a 2" receiver in it, front included. I've used a Thule hitch-type bike rack on the front once and noticed no difference in feel, handling, nothing at all. When it becomes necessary to use that rack, I have so much "stuff" in/on the rest of the van that 2 or 3 25/30 lb. bikes just don't make any difference. The sure get "bugged" though if it's "that" time of year. ;^)
