Subject: Re: Hitch-hikers and karma

There is nothing more frustrating that losing keys. I have a large key ring that must have at least 50 keys on it that have been from previous vehicles owned, locks long gone, etc.. that I would never throw away simply because one key on there might be a usable one, should I lose a key (I've done it in the past)

I too will occasionally pick up hitch-hikers and also consider it a karma thing, along with helping stranded motorists (especially if they are driving a VW, particularly a bus).

But like all things in life....be careful about who you pick up. If it seems funny, trust your sixth sense!!

A customer of mine about 2 weeks ago took his vehicle to a repair shop for some front end work. He made an appointment and as he was leaving, some guy asked him for a ride north to a nearby city.

Being the nice guy he is, he agreed. After driving about 4 miles, he noticed a large group of police cars behind him, with the emergency lights flashing. As he pulled to the curb to let them pass, the passenger suddenly bolted out the door and ran away.

Next thing he knew, he was dragged out of the vehicle, prone on the ground and handcuffed.

Turned out, his passenger had robbed a bank near the repair shop.

After 6 hours of questioning, he was released.

How does it go...."No good deed goes unpunished"

My customer stated.."I dont care if my best friend needs a ride, from now on they can walk"
