The 1540 I have is out of a 90 Jetta. It will work in a syncro with big tires (syncros are 1600) and actually be pretty accurate (say 215/75-15 ATs). It's spins about twice as fast as it needs to be for a non-syncro van. The speedo takes some dremel tool, zip-tie, jb-weld mods to get it to fit and stay in the syncro cluster.

Is this a 120 mph or 100 mph face?

Hope that helps.

Tim
