Well, I finally decided that with all the driving that I do, that fuel economy was a lot more important to me than the panache of driving a Vanagon. So I bought a TDI Jetta. Now the ol' GL's gotta go to make room for the new pony in the stable . The good - lots of new parts replaced in the past year: wiper motor, radiator, entire new brake system from the master cylinder to the brake linings, new clutch, weekender bed and folding center seat, no water leaks.

The not-so-good - the 1.9 waterboxer is showing it's age (no water leaks, though, it just marks it spot with oil from a pushrod tube seal), one hub cap is missing, some minor seam rust, the exhaust is cracked, the front heater fan just gave up, and and the tires are, well, pretty tired.

I thought I'd give the list a shot at it for offers before going the ebay route. Located in the Columbus, OH area.
