Hello all - I've always heard that the interior fuzzy surfacing of the Wessi poptops is designed to deal with moisture condensing on the ceiling from breath etc. as it hits the colder fiberglass. This factory surfacing deliberately avoids having a 2nd solid layer behind which moisture could collect and create rot/mildew even faster. Is this a myth or accurate? If it's true, I'm curious whether putting on a whole new insulating layer can cause this increased moisture problem behind the new carpeting or whatever is used. In other words, does the new layer have to be particularly porous to avoid this problem, and does that influence the insulating quality?
