I used to use these on my Jetta and Scirocco exhaust repairs - they were the standard issue parts at both the dealer and the FLVWAPS. They do work well where you must put a nut on steel studs, but where you have a choice of replacing a bolt and nut with stainless, I'd prefer the SS. The copper nuts were solid copper, not plated, so quite soft, and definitely single use. Care must be taken not to exceed torque and strip threads out.
