Greetings all

We'll the cylinders came off on one side. I used j*gs in my first email and some people said my posting was classified as adult or spam. So without that term:

Situation: one side complete, buttoned put and ready for manifold; the other side the cylinders came out.

Choices: 1. Remove engine (I don't really want to) so can the lines be slid back on with engine in place?

2. Ring compressor, from my motocross racing days we used a hose clamp as our compressor: any recommendations?

3. I read that one person recommend replacing the rings and another said that the rings are not a problem: so do I replace the rings on one side, disassemble and do the other side too or just put it back together (90k on this engine

4. This engine came from VW American and was rebuilt by Cummins. Upper O-ring failed because it was not in the groove (installation defect) I think someone just pushed the heads on as quick as they could without checking for seating. Has anyone had any luck on recourse with this type of problem?

TIA

Jere
