Zoltan,

I don't remember this specific one being mentioned before, but there are many instances in the archives where some faulty connection was causing intermittent problems rather than the usual FI system components that we suspect.

For you to be sure that this was the cause of the original problems you were having, you need to switch back to the original ECU. If after running with it for some time without any bucking, then you can be relatively sure that it was the loose connection that you found.

This loose connection was found when the van stopped completely, a symptom that you had not experienced before. So it could be unrelated to the original bucking and just have happened to occur right after you fixed the bucking with the 2nd ECU.

Swap the ECU's, drive a few days and let us know what happened.
