Need to check that temperature fan switch on the radiator and the fan for correct operation regardless of if it is the current problem or not.

But back to the problem. Overheat at idle but not on the road is usually related to one of two things.

First check that fan and fan switch

Second check for a radiator that is beyond its prime and has severe clogging of its arteries.

Almost all other overheating problems are at road run as well as at park and are usually engine related.
