I can answer that

We came extremely close to scrapping the idea due to cost (we thought it would be too high and nobody would want one), but we were encouraged to keep on going by vanagon friends and list members who really really want such a solution. So we revised the unit several times to simplify the electronics and try to reduce costs while keeping our functionality and performance. We also decided to make a custom airbox to utilize a good widely available factory air filter so that people could choose an oil & gauze type or paper type air filter based on which they feel is the better choice for them. Resources have also been somewhat diverted by the development of our engine conversion kit since it is so close to rollout, but I would expect to see something in mid-late march on the LMU(MAF conversion kit) at this point. But the good news is that it IS happening, and moreover will be a much better setup than we had originally.

Thanks,

Jim
