There is a problem with the FI on the air cooled 2 liter motors. It is starting when cold at high altitudes. I'm attaching something I wrote about it a while back. I have never had trouble when warm, so check what has been advised. My big "S" hose from the AFM to the throttle valve had a crack at the bottom, so you could inspect it and think it OK, but it really wasn't if you took it off and flexed it. Let us know what you find and good luck!
