This is for two reasons. One is the limited market (has never been tested so how do they know?) the other is that there is a rather prohibitive import duty on commercial vehicles that isnt on passenger vehicles. I would love to see some of the VW LT series into the US. I would be looking to acquire one for a new camper base. They are going to start building some in mexico but they are not going to be built to US or Euro standard. In country and brazil only.
