This is what's weird. The slider and motor work great on straight 12v. The voltmeter (no load, of course) show above 12 when I test the switch. But when I plug the motor up, nothing happens. It's like there's a voltage drop to some point below which the motor doesn't run.

When I replaced the motor and slider about 2 years ago, rotten scraper rubber had apparently allowed rain into the door. While it didn't do any rust damage, it did create a very humid environment for the motor and mechanism. Everything was rusty/corroded, including the motor and cable housings. This time everything is nice and clean, but there may be corrosion in the connectors. I don't know how to check for that, and don't know at what point of voltage drop the motor quits operating.
