Paul, If you're a member of AAA, I'd start with them. If not, call the local DMV office & explain. Hopefully, you kept copies of your on- line communications. Driving while unregistered is a risk (someone else can address how much of a risk) but it might help if you have those copies in the car to demonstrate that you are taking care of business if you do get pulled over. It's (obviously) important that you not let it go too long without taking action. Maybe it's just a normal delay, but if it fell through some crack, you're still responsible. Be sure to keep notes of phone or over-the-counter conversations with the name(s) of anyone you talk to. //Jack On 27 Feb 2005 at 8:58, Wognacious wrote: > My 85 wasn't running when my registration was due so I > waited until it was running and registered it on line. > A smog check was needed and the web site informed me > that I would be receiving a letter in 2 weeks and that > I was supposed to take that to the smog check place > and get the vehicle smoged.
