I am forced to replace the water pump on my 85 westy while my foot is in a cast. Never done it before(while in or out of a case).I am using Tom Carringtons waterpump replacement guide(located in the archives) ,but have a few questions. 1,Do I need a seperate gasket to attach the upper thermistat housing back to the block? What part name or number is this? The Bus Depot ,where I ordered the new water pump this morning says that all gaskets are included w/ the new pump.I am wondering if this upper thermostat housing(UTH) gasket is included.I think not.I understand that the best way to replace the water pump on a 1.9 is to first remove the upper thermostat housing , then remove the old water pump from the UTH. 2, The cross over pipe that attaches to the water pump and somewhere over on the other side of the block both need new gaskets (and o-rings?).Are these included w/ the new bus depot water pump? I again think not.Does anyone know the name or number of these gaskets (and or o-rings?).Any additional advice is appreciated. Thanks, Roger Sisler __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
