I've been timing air-cooled motors for years and just recently aquired an '85 transporter and '90 carat. The '85 runs strong but idle hunts. I've replaced ground connectors and checked for leaks and I'm in the process of investigating the idle stabilizer. On the '90, I just completed a top end rebuild, heads, pistons-rings, cylnders. Spec compression on both machines. I've got a bentley and I've combed the net for tips on timing and I'm still having trouble. I'm finding confusing info on whether or not to disconnect the temp sender(s) and/or other devices. Whats the deal? thanks Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/m2/ |
