Subject: What is Clutch Disk Disc Thickness?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Continuing saga of installing used engine into my van:

I did a search of the archives and found nothing. Bentley also has no information.

Does anyone know if there's a wear limit specification for the friction material on a clutch disk? Does anyone know the new thickness?

On other vehicles I've owned, they'll tell you to measure from the friciton material down to the rivets on the face of the disk and give you a wear limit thickness. (I'm, uh, financially disadvantaged at the moment and want to reuse my disk. FLAPS wants >$100 for the disk alone!)

Thanks Muchly!
