Warren,

I had the same thing happen. I got a lot of good advice from the list, but none of it helped my problem. Here's what it was: check the connection to your afm AND the connection between the pigtail and the original connector, in other words the connection between the afm and the firewall. If the terminals are corroded or dirty, or if there's still water in there, your engine will lose power and stall after about one minute of running, and will be fine when the switch is back on... for a minute.

I had a lot of false starts (and false hope) messing with the 02 sensor and the temp II sensor. But in the end, it was just the AFM connection.
