And let us not forget the (in)famous Twini Mini, an
Austin Mini Cooper with an extra engine crammed into
the boot. 178 combined horsepower: "About the same
weight-to-horsepower ratio as the Ferrari Berlinetta".

Evidently, no attempt was made to mechanically link
the two engines' drivetrains, each instead powering
its own set of wheels. One day on the test track,
driver John Cooper was quite nearly killed when one
end of the car locked up and sent him skidding.
